Subject: New Shoes... Nike Lunar?
I'm getting ready to buy a new pair of running shoes.  I currently run with Saucony Progrid Ride and like the weight, the breathability and comfort of them.  However, I've developed PF issues and would like to try something new.  Also, the durability seems to be an issue as I've only gotten about 100 miles out of them and they're starting to break down.  I weigh around 210 lbs but it still seems like a pretty short life.

I saw a lot of folks wearing the new Nike Lunars this past weekend at a race and everyone was raving about them.  Has anyone tried these, what do you think about them?  I doubt they will give me much more life but they also cost a bit less than other shoes like the Progrids.  I tend to oversupinate with a high arch and was prescribed a neutral shoe... does that sound right?  I also use a 3/4 arch support insert that seems to have helped a little with the PF.

Thoughts?

I used to run with the "incorrect" shoes, as I too am a supinator. I switched over to the Gel Nimbus which was much better. Now, I again switched to the Nike Vomero 3....best cushioned shoe I have ever used. Though I am also a supinator, I weigh much less than you so could have a much different feel. Good Luck in the hunt.

You can also check out Runners World website. They have a "shoe finder" that will help in your search.

I tried on the Lunar and found them to be a little narrow for me.  I was also coming from a Saucony, which I think tend to be a little wider in the toebox.  However, I went with the Free 5.0, which felt much wider than the Lunar.

Edit: I'm quite a bit lighter than you too at about 120/125 lbs...so I can't speak to how the Free 5.0 hold up under higher weight.
