Are there any restrictions on tattoo's and locations for running a tri. I have seen it mentioned that you cant have them on your calves or something but I am not sure if it was an inside joke or not. I am considering one after my first tri (not an mdot but something). I would love to do an ironman in a couple years so I want to make sure I dont disqualify myself at all.

I think I just snorted Zombie Puke over my keyboard I LOLed so hard...

No,  you can get  your tats anywhere you want.  There are no 'rules' against it.  What are they going to do?  tell you you can't play cause you have ink?  ACLU lawsuit in a heartbeat.

I too wanted a tri tattoo after my first one...then realized that I would have to be 2 weeks out of the pool.  Struck that off the list pretty fast- I'll wait until tri season is over and I can afford to take time off.

Besides, after my first tri I KNEW I didn't try hard enough and didn't deserve a tri tatt.  We'll see how I do at Deer Creek if I think I can proudly ink my skin.  I'm still developing the design- something between celtic knotwork and the Maori 'fern' design.  I don't think I would ever do a literal sbr design.

btw a zombie puke is 2 shots of Capt Morgan's Tattoo over ice with pink grapefruit juice and a splash of grenidine.  2 guesses as to what it looks like in a glass

Based on that drink I bet you just ruined your clothes and keyboard lol. I was just curious I just wanted to make sure. What if I make it famous LOL. I have always been accused of going at everything way to hard. I may do a real sbr tatt, I can say I really am enjoying it and I feel less stressed and my temperment is a lot more mellow. I am just not sure if I want it on my calf or not.
