Looking at options for buying my wife a pair of Tri-shoes for cycling, but she has a wider foot from a fit standpoint. Any experience in which brands typically fit those with wider feet better or offer more selections to suit that? I've heard Sidi fit well, but they're fairly expensive.. i'll go that way if need be, but just looking for honest opinions/experiences.

Thanks
Derek

Best thing is to have her try on a bunch of pairs by going to a large bike shop. I have wide feet and wear men's bike and running shoes as women run to narrow. Sidi run narrow. Shimano run wider. Specialized shoes are the biggest growing bike shoe in the market with alot of new technology they have brought into their shoes last few years.

Depending on distances of races she'll be doing may be better to get road shoes as they fit better in general than tri shoes as tri shoes have usually two straps instead of three for road shoes. I bought tri shoes first then upgraded to road shoes with carbon soles that fit better and I ride those all the time expect for shorter tris..HIM or IM I wear my more comfortable shoes.
