Subject: Jamis Durango

Would these bikes be any good for racing xterra with?

I'm just doing it for fun and not going to take it too seriously. Therefore I don't want to spend too much but don't want a crappy heavy bike either.

I can't speak specifically about this bike, but I can say that Jamis makes a very good bike for the money. I have a FS Jamis mtn bike. My SO has a hardtail, a steel roadie and a carbon roadie all by Jamis. They're all great bikes.
