Any suggestions as for the best time to do bike shopping for deals?
My wife and I are looking for entry level tri bikes.  We live in Minneapolis.

We are all ears

I'm in Minneapolis right now on a business trip.  Will be here til Friday!

I have had the best luck buying in January.  After Christmas, no one is shopping much and bikes shops know they won't sell much until Spring, so whatever they have left from Christmas, they want to move.

That being said, you might not be able to find exactly what you want.

I am also located in Minneapolis. It all depends what you are looking for. Gear West is all around a great place for lines of products etc. Eriks and Penn Cycle both offer different ranges of bikes, not quite the same experience as Gear West, but you may find better prices for the different level of service.Watch Craigslist as well, I have seen some really good deals and I have sold two bikes there in the past 2 months. That is if you know your size etc. Trifitness in White Bear Lake also sells some bikes, but I think they are limited to Orbea.Depending what you are looking for I would say Gear West will give you selection and be able to get you into something in your range. Penn Cycle also has some deals on some Tri bikes as well.
