First Tri in the Bag

I participated in the Deer Creek Pineman Mini on Saturday (.6mile, 28mile, 6.55mile). My goal was sub 3 hours and pulled off a 2:59:36. I was dissappointed in the swim but there was near zero visability due to fog on the lake (air temp 48, water temp 72). I think I swam about 100m more than the course outlined. I was fine w/out a wet suit but was chilly during the first portion of the bike. Overall, I had a blast and look forward to next years season, although I might do a duathalon in Oct. It was dissappointed to watch the first Half Ironman competitor pass me after 10miles on the bike....until I learned they pulled everyone else from the water, cancelling the swim due to visibility.
