Run
Comments: As soon as I started my back started aching, I hoped that it would just work itself out. Also found my breathing to be labored. Possibly because it is my first outdoore run since January. All my runs including long runs have been on the dreadmill. I struggled along the whole run, When I neared the 4 mile mark an older lady named Elaine passed me doing a power walk. I followed her briefly until we reached the peak of the Ford Street Bride and then I decided that I needed to say F*^& the back and picked up the pace. Elaine wished me luck as I passed her. The funny thing is sinced I picked up the pace the back was not hurting as much I finished strong. My knee and ankle hurt a little but did not contribute to my demise for this race. Post race
Warm down: Walked around for ten minutes and went and talked to some freinds. What limited your ability to perform faster: My back and my weight. Possibly doing all my training on the treadmill. Last updated: 2006-03-10 12:00 AM

On the Sunday , before this race I was in a car accident and hurt my knee, neck and back. The pain has regressed a lot so I figure I would just do use race a training run and to see some freinds I have not seen since I started my new job. I did not do any training all week.
The morning of woke up, relaxed drank gatorade and ate bannanas.
Just walked around and did some stretches.
