Subject: How do you lose weight without affecting performance?Hi all, I am a 49yr old woman from Australia, 4kg above my healthy weight range (and 32% body fat ). I started triathlons about 18 months ago as a way to exercise and lose weight. Since then I haven't lost any weight but I have learned to love tri'ing anyway. I started off with very slow times and have improved a lot, but I am still back of the pack and would love to get faster. I think the best way to improve would be to drop about 10kg of fat, taking me to the middle of my healthy weight range. But every time I try to diet my energy levels and my times drop off. Can anyone point me in the direction of advice, articles etc on how to lose weight without causing a loss in performance? |
