My favorite quote:" Unlike other motorists, Costello wasn't stranded overnight in her car, but it took two tries and more than three hours for her to drive two miles to her home Tuesday from the news network's Atlanta headquarters."

Is there something I'm missing that makes it impossible to walk two miles in 20 degree weather?

Has anyone mentioned the possibility that being totally unable to think of any other options other than driving two miles in gridlock might be part of the problem with Atlanta traffic?

Just sayin'

That would require personal responsibility and people actually thinking. Kills me.

I had a friend's mom stay in her car for over 17 hrs because she was 'afraid of what might happen'. Ummm...You and 100s of others are in the same spot. They are walking 300 ft to the off-ramp to get food and get warm but you're 'afraid'. I didn't have the heart to say anything.

These circumstances are eerily similar to the Donner Party.  17 hours with 2 inches of snow - I'd probably have to kill and eat one of the other people.

I got a new pair of the same size / brand of shoes and started running on them. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe starts to get a little painful and goes numb after the first 1-3 miles.

The off-season is the best time to fine tune your skills and prepare yourself for the next season. It is also time for you to gain some strength and get a little rest after a long season of training.

If you develop a strategy for the off-season, you can go into the next season stronger than you ended the past season.
