Hi All,

I was wondering how people deal with anger when they have a short fuse? Breathing techs?
Other ideas are welcomed

Being Italian has nothing to do with anger or proper anger management. It is an excuse or crutch. Get into an anger management group or class. See a counselor or other specialist in the field and make finding your "triggers" a priority. Once those triggers are found and their sources worked out, it's a fairly simple behavior modification process after that.

In the interim, apply the WWJD rule to your daily life. Instead of Jesus, think of the most explosive, meanest, socially unacceptable jerk you know of and apply their name in place of the J. When you are in a spot and about to pop, think. Wjhat would that person do? Pick the opposite reaction and course of action. 98 out of 100 times it will be the best course of action. I don't have anger management issues, but have learned how to use this technique in a lot of other ways. It works wonders as a parenting tool. I simply ask myself "What Would Dad Do" in certain circumstances. I pick the opposite course of action and i'm usually always doing the right thing!
