I recently purchased a Softride TT7, comes in the mail tomorrow, and I'm super stoked about the bike. I really want to give the bike an original custom paint job over the winter (i'm a professional painter, so i have all the proper tools to blast and spray it) I haven't been able to think of anything that i liked enough to keep on the bike permanently. then i had an idea, I think I'm going to spray the bike with white board paint. That way my daughters and I can give it a custom "Paint job" when ever we're bored, the nice flat, aero down tube would be a great canvas for them..

I think it's an awesome idea. Someone may say it's horrible, but I think it's cool as heck.

But how aero is the board paint? Can you get a good, smooth airflow over it?

I plan to blast the old coating off with walnut shells, that won't create any sort of profile. the smoothness of a paints finish is usually a reflection of the applicator, this is what i do for a living and i've been doing it for a while now, so i feel pretty confident i can't spray it to a glass finish... having the right tools helps alot too.
