Subject: Active Superbowl Watching Challenge Hi All, I'm not the biggest football fan but hate to miss out on any fun. In the interest of making the event less of a hangout-on-the couch-and-eat activity, I want to do a Superbowl fitness challenge. Okay here is an off-the-top-of-my-head game plan: Every beer commercial do one long slow upward and downward dog Every car commercial do a stand-up, sit-down, march in place
Every touchdown do 20 crunches Every conversion do 10 pushups Every food advertisement drink half a glass of water (Hmmm . . . this might be too much) Every red flag do 10 squats Every punt run in place or jumping jacks until the ball is caught or controlled When the gatorade is poured on the coach do 5 Burbees This has been designed for a middle aged woman who already worked out so please scale this up or down according to age, enthusiasm, and/or personal decrepitude.
It is a bit of a challenge for me to put this together as I don't know that much about football. Perhaps we should do something for quarterback sacks, timeouts or interceptions. Suggestions are much appreciated. Annie |
