Subject: New but not really I did my 1st 140.6 in 2008 (my 40th year ). I am back now because I want to do it again in 2028 (my 60th year ).
I feel like I can help the newer people, but I also feel like a newbie.
I guess I say this to say- I am not sure how to act. The one thing I will throw out there, is that is all comes down to trusting your training, and your mantras...... willing to suffer, it's not how fast you run, but how little you walk, pain is temporary, ironman is forever!!!!!!
So please do not count me as veteran, or as a newbie. BUT PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS AS I AM OLDER NOW! I know an injury sets me back weeks.
I am heavy as f@@#. So, I am coming out with swimming first.
I hope to make some good friends. Ironman is a long term goal. If we can stick together, we can make it.
GO YOU..................... and me! Edited by Hep Hep 140.6 2024-05-20 2:17 PM
