I'm up for it, I just don't know how to start a challenge. Maybe a swimming challenge?!? Tell me what ya think, but I know want to be in charge. I can hardly keep my head on as it is. Anyone have any ideas or does anyone want to do the team thingy? I don't know where I'm going with this. I just need someone to direct a challenge.

Oh, I really like the minutes per week thing!  What do you all say?

I'd be on record to doing 600 minutes per week for the rest of the month, or a total of 2400 minutes for April.

just tri sports or will anything count....yoga, strength, etc..?

I am up for it if anything counts...still can't run b/c I am 7 weeks out from knee surgery so just swimming and biking 600 minutes a week may be dull...

What do you think?

I think it should be a minutes/month thing, and everyone just commit to what they think they'll be able to hit. 

Whether it counts oly tri-sports or others... I think just tri sports.  Anything else is just "icing" right?

Minutes a week would be great for me also. Anything with tri training. Swim, bike, run, yoga, anything!!
So far for me i've done 205 minutes of training stuff. I swam and biked this week. And I did an hour of yoga. Tonight, I'll do some running. Okay, jogging, but it feels like running to me.
Tomorrow, I'll be doing a crap load of walking. I'm going to see the Astros play in Houston, and I'm sure I'll be walking many-a-block to the ballpark and back.
Anyways, ya'll are great. Good luck to all.

Ok, so I'll track it all on my work computer (on Monday).  Just send me your goals for the month in minutes, and then your time for the week, each week... and I'll let you know how you're doing.

I'm in for 300 minutes a week!  Tri sports only for me, strength training etc will have to be in addition to those 300.

I don't have an iPod either, so thanks for the alternative challenge

Exceeded my goals this week (only because I had my 20-miler today):

62 min swim
106 min bike
380 min run

I'm at 630 minutes for this week but I, too, had a mack daddy day today so it wasn't exactly a typical week.  Here's the breakdown:

Swim:  130

Run:  82

Bike:  418

Total:  630

 Holy smokes, I swam more than I ran.  Will wonders never cease.

I made it this week, but barely.

301 minutes:
Swim: 91
Bike: 95
Run: 115

My planned training doubled from last week to this week, so I'm working my way up as my body can handle it.  Hopefully within the next few weeks I'll be demolishing my measly 301 minutes! 

Great job so far!

Great job last week everyone!  Welcome aboard, Brian... you set your own goal for tri-related minutes of training and keep us posted.  It doesn't get much easier than that, right? 

This week I met my goal with 78 minutes to spare!  Here's the breakdown....

Swim:  108 minutes
Bike:  359 minutes
Run:  111 minutes
-----------------------------------
Total:  578 minutes

Wow, great job!

I made my goal again this week, but once again, BARELY.

Swim: 30 min
Bike: 215 min
Run: 57 min

=302 minutes

Haha, I got my trainer this past week, so I might have accidentally replaced some of my swimming with biking this week
