Subject: Another "G'day" from Down Under

Thought I would de-lurk and say "Hi" to the folks at BT. I've been reading the forums for a few weeks now, and you all seem like a pretty cool bunch of guys (and girls).

One of my workmates is getting back into tris after having her first kid. She asked me if I would be interested in doing a Team Sprint Tri for a local corporate event. Sounded like fun, so I signed up and here I am.

Some background on me:

I love sports and competing. I am always involved in one or two (sometimes more) sports in any one year. My previous pursuits include beach volleyball, cricket, cycling, football (Rugby), golf, hockey (field & ice), martial arts (karate, kick-boxing & tae kwon do), scuba diving, squash, tennis & ten-pin bowling. I am currently in the middle of our summer baseball season and have recently retired from playing (American) football (yep, us Aussies play it too).

I haven't done much swimming in the past 10 years, so the swim leg will most likely be the biggest challenge.

Good Luck with your tri - you have a huge sporting background so you will be fine - just get in the pool!!
