New and Needs an Open Water Swim Partner in LA

Hi Drew! Welcome! I'm also doing Redondo, as are several others here. If you look in the California forum, you'll see a thread titled Redondo Beach Tri ... you should post in there, too.

There are lots of great group OWS--LA Tri's Wednesday morning Speed Circuit (no need to be a member) in Santa Monica, a swim of distances 1/2 to 2 mi at 8 a.m. Manhattan Beach Saturdays, and then for beginners at 11 a.m.

Zuma's a little further, but they have a nice 1-mi swim Sunday mornings.

Yo!! What's up man?? Yeah, I'm one of the LA folks and go out there to Santa Monica from time to time to swim. I swim mostly in the pool also...as I think most people do...but I get out there from time to time to hop in the ocean. Much better with more people...it gets a bit freaky when you're by yourself cause you start thinking about sharks and all of that crap...lol. Anywho, there's a group of about 5 to 8 of us out ere in LA that hang out all of the time and do races and stuff together. I might be doing the Redando tri also but am not sure. Anywho, yeah....post in the California forum also and I'm sure more of us will respond.
