Iron mountain

I'm not doing the race, but it's in my neck of the woods( and along one of my training routes) so I might spin by and watch. It doesn't look like there is a very big field so hopefully I time it right to catch some of it. I have a friend doing the sprint and had planned to go up to the lake a few times, but the weather.... I'd enter the sprint except I'm about to bite the bullet and order my wetsuit + have Peach city tri to sign and pay this week + am looking at adding aero bars to my bike soon so my tri fund is in the red big time( says the man making the money in the family). lol

It was a hot day for you guys out there. Hope it went well for you and your Dad. I was there in time to catch the mop bikes and then stayed to see the winner cross the line. The water looked nice.

Yea it was pretty hot, luckily i was finished before the heat. We both did realy good. In the sprint my time was 1:17:47 which put me 5th overall, but 3 out of the 4 people ahead of me were all in my age group, one was only 6 seconds ahead and i saw him at the line and tried to sprint it out but couldent catch him. All in all good performance good bike and run times, needed better swim and transistions to win. Then in the half iron my dad great also cutting 55 minutes off his time from last year, he was 8th overall, he was very happy about that time, and also kind of glad that it was hot(training for IMC).
