Swim
Comments: I passed several people on my swim. The first lap I even passed someone. Several people lied about their times. I stopped and stood up/walked a few times, that was a little frustrating, but I passed some ppl on the ends when I could push off and take off into the next lane so that helped. I felt pretty good though What would you do differently?: Put a faster time down that I could complete 400 meters in Transition 1
Comments: I felt great. I forgot to put my sunglasses on though, but that was alright. I went fast I felt like! 2nd place overall on Transition 1! What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: I worried about getting into my cages on my pedals and they went in perfectly! I had practiced this course before and felt like I did it faster the first time, but had a faster time this time. Felt good though, couldn't push it any more. Must have gave it my all :) What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: My shoe kind of caught the bike when I was getting off of it, but it didn't last long. Running with the bike kind of stunk because our transition site was a little further away because it was close to where you took off for the bike and run. But it was over with after 49 seconds so that's ok lol. What would you do differently?: I'm not really sure. Run
Comments: I tried to pace myself at a nice consistent pace. At about 100 yards left, I picked it up and tried to finish strong. I felt good, wished I could have went faster. What would you do differently?: When I first started I could feel the tongue of my shoe was hurting the top of my foot so I stopped real quick to fix it and it didn't fix it. So I ran like that. It hurt that night as well and I can feel it now a little. I used yankz so I'm just going to have to work with it some more and see what works and what doesn't. Post race
Warm down: None - I went to see my family and friends - completely forgot about cooldown ;) What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing, did the best I could the entire time. Event comments: It was an all women's Triathlon and I really liked that. This was my very first Triathlon and I came in 6th overall. I about died!!!! It made my week I think!!! We got to the site at 5:30 when registration was suppose to start and they were just setting up. So we walked around the transition area and where we'd be running to and biking to. Nice and relaxing because there wasn't a huge crowd. I had oatmeal for breakfast and an hour before the race I had a Honey n Oats bar.
I ran for a couple of minutes to get my legs warm and when the pool was open for warm-up I did 100 meters. 50 meters in one lane and then swimming into the next lane and swimming 50 meters the other way. Working on switching lanes. Felt good.
