Subject: Anyone done the Hot Rocks ride or Melon Patch Tour?

Has anyone done either of these rides? I have read reviews of both and it seems like the Melon Patch Tour gets much better reviews, but it is almost 2 hours from DFW.

If you've done either ride, what are your opinions of the good, the bad and the ugly?

I have not actually done the Melon Patch Tour myself, but two of my closest friends have and they loved it. They are headed back this year to tour again. I know you can register at the start on the morning of, if you haven't already done so. I was going to do the 18 mile ride with them, but my hubby had to work last minute so now I can't. I've heard from my friends, everyone is real nice and the ride is down nice country roads. They usually leave early morning to make the two hour drive as we are in near the dallas area.
