Ok I have 4 weeks before my frist sprint and have come down with a cold.  Just a head cold but it is making me feel tired and I have some congestion..  Should I take a few days off?  Of just keep training????

A general rule of thumb is that if it's all above the neck, go ahead and work out. You'll want to decrease intensity and maybe distance as well, but you will feel better for a few hours after the exercise. If it's below the neck and in you chest, take off, no working out until it begins to clear. Also, if you have a fever, don't work out 'til it breaks. And in all cases, until you're back 100%, keep the intensity low, or you'll just make yourself sick again.

What Karen said^^^^

If it's down in the chest or you have a fever, get well before you train.  If it's just up in the head, then you can push through.  I've often felt much, much better after a workout.  Sorta clears things up or something.  Of course, my allergies are terrible, so I pretty much trained all summer with a "head cold."

Just train if you feel like it and rest if you feel like you need it.
