Subject: Colder weather triathlons
I am doing a slightly-longer-than-sprint triathlon in the middle of september.   The weather for that date could be anything from 90 degrees to 50.  I am prepared for the hot, but I would like some advise on how to be warm, but not take forever in trasitions.  thanks in advance.

arm/leg warmers just get them on, adjust them while riding.

If it is cold, spend the extra minute or two in T1 putting on a dry shirt and any other gear you bring.  If in doubt, bring it (and use it).  Personally, I'd bring:

long-sleeve shirt
arm warmers
knee warmers
toe covers
helmet cover or skull cap
wool socks
full-finger gloves

If I didn't have most of that stuff already, I'd bring a windbreaker, sweatpants, and a bandana.

You'd have a hard time riding hard enough on a cold day to offset the heat loss due to wind and evaporating the swim water out of your tri-top.
