Subject: Polar CS100b Battery Dying
I recently bought a Polar CS100b and I really like it. The only problem I have found that is the battery dies after about 3 or 4 short rides (10 -20 miles) I am on my 3rd battery already this month. Has anyone else come across this problem

There is a thread on the Polar website forums that deals with this. There are 2 possible causes mentioned. Measure the voltage for the battery, and if it's below 2.5v, the battery is dead, and you have one of the CS100s that have a defective circuit board on it, leaving the radio on even though the LCD is off. This requires return to Polar for replacement, which I just went through and takes about 15-20 days or so. If the battery tests good, there is an issue with the electric contacts/galvation. Use some dielectric grease.

Just got mine back a week ago, and it took 20+ days. Good luck. I was lucky enough to have another computer on my other (race) bike, so I was able to swap it over to my training bike.
