Anthtracite Triathlon-Official Thread

I have not done this race but I did Black Bear in May.  Jim Thrope is a very hilly area and the Black Bear sprint bike course was very tough.  It was the first tri I have even seen people walking bikes up hills!    Not sure if they follow a similar course but everything there is hilly.  Steep climbs too! lake swim and I think wetsuit allowed. a long climb just out of T1 then a couple more hills then a super long downhill followed by a sharp turn then up a f'ing wall. don't remember much of the ride after that guess it was ok. the run starts out as a trail run then along side the road back to the finish line. nice small town race w/ a challenging course. don't think I will be there this year but wish I could make it. oh yeah and the campground has showers which I think is always a nice touch after a race.
