Can anyone tell me about their experience in this sprint tri series?  http://www.charlestontriathlonclub.com/csts2009/fromthetent.htmls

Is it worth the drive from Charlotte?  I assume the bike and run are flat?  Is it well organized?  Any other comments?

Thanks!

Great races. Very popular. Very hot. The two remaining races (2 and 16 August) are close to sold out. The 12 July race sold out with a record number of entrants. Very flat. Well organized. I think you'd enjoy it. Charleston is a nice town to visit too.

Hello

The 16 August Race will be my first so I am excited.  I went to watch the 12 July race so I would have an idea what's going on when I race and it was very well organized.  I would recommend arriving early on race day for a close parking spot & a good location to rack your bike & set-up the transition.

These are annual favorites with us in the Charleston area.  They've been doing this series for nearly 20 years, so they've worked all the bugs out.  Very well organized.

We noticed on July 12 that there were lots of people from out of the area/state.  Many of the age groups are quite competitive.  Make a weekend of it, and play tourist at the beach, downtown Charleston, Ft. Sumter boat tours (well worth it), aquarium, etc.
