Subject: IMWI Course
I"m heading down to Madison with a couple of my Tri Buddies from Green Bay Saturday AM. Is that bridge in Verona still out? Does anyone have a route to bypass that road they would be willing to share.

Have a great weekend of training everyone!

Jason

A new bridge has been built and the blacktop is smoooooooove!  No bypass needed.

I was informed a little while ago that there is supposedly some new gravel thrown down somewhere on the course.  I haven't checked and was planning a ride on Sun.

Saw this on Slowtwitch RE the gravel.  It settles in by race day and seems to be a every summer deal:

I rode the loop today (07/23) and came across the following hazards:
-Fresh loose gravel on Witte Rd from Windy Ln to CR-J
-Fresh loose gravel on Timber Ln near Midtown
-The intersection of Midtown and Shady Oak Ln is completely torn up (but can be navigated)
-Fresh loose gravel on Cross Country from Nine Mound to ??? (I didn't even try, I took Nine Mound to Verona Ave)

Gravel went down on Old Sauk Pass over a week ago.  While there is still some to contend with it isn't bad at all.
