I am going to be outside of Austin this weekend at the Barton Creek Resort and wanted to know if there was any good routes to ride around the resort.

Thanks,

I would say yes...I'm not sure how far you want to ride, but this ride is a good one.  Where you're staying is right in the middle of that circle so you could amend the ride to your needs.  Have fun, Austin is a great place...I'd come and ride with you but A.) That'd be creepy and B.)  I live way North in Round Rock.

If you went North from where you're staying, west on Bee Caves and then onto 620 you get up to the lake and Mansfield Dam...those hills are big...I'm a novice so I wouldn't try them, but I can't discern your ability....lots of stuff to see from where you'll be though.

I ride out by the resort all the time. There is some serious climbing out there. Just to leave the resort you have to climb some real steep hills.

head out barton creek blvd. to the south you hit SW Parkway and that will take you out to 620. Or you can try the Fitzhugh Flog ride. Search mapmytri.com for austin rides. They're all on there.
if you head out north you'll hit bee caves road which can take you to 360 which is a heavily travelled cycling route.
