Subject: RE: New entries for SportsHi Ron, Not really. Although not a strength training program, Prehab is specifically geared toward strengthening the body to optimize mobility, balance, stability and joint function decreasing potential for injuries. Although some of these exercises will strengthen the core, it is not a 'core' program. It is done prior to strength and tri training Movement Prep is a preworkout program that has replaced static stretching with a series of exercies to prepare the body for movement (strength training, running, biking, swimming, etc ) It boosts heart rate, blood flow to muscles and core temperature, also improving the function of the nervous system. It is not a core workout, but the end result is significant improvement in mobility, flexibility and power output by nearly 20% compared to static stretching. I have been using 'Stretching' and a couple of other sports entries to log these 2 workouts but they are becoming a catch all. I do know other BT'ers who use this program as well. I had seen some sports entries listed that seem to be pretty loose definitions of a sport, so thought adding Prehab and Movement Prep would making my logging more fine tuned. But I have no idea of the amount of work required to make these types of changes and understand if it is not possible. It is a GREAT site, that offers SO much and the enhancements just keep on coming. Thanks for that! |
