Woo Hoo!  I completed a century yesterday.  It was the long route for the Old Kentucky Home Tour.  Had an option at the 50M to go right for 70 or left for 103.  I took the left.  It was difficult and was spent at the 80M mark.  The hardest climb, Potter Shop Hill, was at 96M.  I've been up climbs this difficult before, but whoever mapped out ride to put the climb at end is sick.

Congratulations on finishing your first Century. They will get easier if you keep training. I just finished my 2nd Century today.

Congratulations on your 1st of many Centuries. I still remember my 1st because we had a wicked headwind for the last 15 miles on a road with little to no shoulder and cars whizzing by at around 65 mph. I felt like crying and just wanted it to end! It was the 1st year a group sponsored the ride, there were less than 20 people that signed up for the century and there was little support, but I felt good when it was all over.

Congrats on your first century. That hill at the end must have been a pain!

I remember my first and second centuries, because I did them on consecutive days. It was the MS150 that had an optional 25 each day to make 200. The second day featured a monster, steep 3 mile climb at the 85 mile mark that left about half the people walking. I made it up OK, but was wondering what kind of sadistic person mapped out a route like that.
