Comments: I ran out hard the whole way. After running through the huge hills at miles 17-20, I was at 2:47. Then my legs became very tired. I pushed as hard as I could the entire race. At mile 24 I had a slight second wind and picked up the pace a little. I crossed the finish line 27 minutes faster than my first marathon in Baltimore which was 4 weeks ago. I qualified for the Boston Marathon too!! What would you do differently?: Take in more nutrition on the run with possibly 2 more gels. Post race Warm down: Walked around for about 30 minutes. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training at faster paces. Event comments: Beautiful course, excellent volunteers, great race! Last updated: 2009-10-26 12:00 AM |
