 25 |  Subject: Ghost Lake CampingI have a hotel booked in downtown Calgary (Sandman) but I am considering canceling in favour of the Ghost Lake campground. I like the idea of camping and being close to the start (as well as the 100's of $ I'll save). I am unfamiliar with the area and only decided to stay downtown because it seemed like the place to be (expo, meetings, shuttle service, ect). However, now that the official website tells me Speed Theory has bought out the Ghost Lake campground for the weekend it's enticing me to make a last-minute change. Suggestions? What is the campground like? Are there showers? Thanks. |

Maybe try phoning to see about showers. It seems they don't take reservations so it is first come first served... Good luck in your race! |

Extreme Veteran 442 | Subject: RE: Ghost Lake Camping Since I gotta keep staring at my own post, I have to note that I found out later that Speed Theory seems to have booked some sites at Ghost Lake and allowed people to book if they booked for three days. My apologies to the OP. Check out Speed Theory's web site for 2011 in case they do it again next year. |
