Introduce yourself

I just thought of cool idea #827 for BT to put on the "to implement" list for down the road when everything else has been taken care of. So, the Introduce Yourself forum doesn't seem to get a ton of attention (I take partial responsibility for that and we're all somewhat accountable). What if there were a way to enable the specific thread to be cross-posted or have a duplicate thread posted to the poster's state forum? That way it might hit the eyes of more people who don't normally go to that thread, illicit more immediate response, and generate closer connections. I know I've met several people here in NE through BT with whom I maintain pretty good contact, so something like that would likely generate more of those relationships! Just something I was thinking of while poking around. And please, if this is not an original idea, don't tell me. I want to feel like I was the first to bring it up.
