Subject: RE: what to eatI try to eat about 12 hours before the event and I don't try something that I have never had before. Pasta seems to be the choice of most.
The next morning I make sure that I get up and eat two hours before the start at a minimum. I usually have a Gatorade spiked with hammer gel, a bananna, and a bagel. About 30 minutes before the start of the swim, I take a packet of gel.
Works for me!
