Subject: Incorporating weights into training plan for first sprint...Hi Everyone -
I'm training for my first sprint triathlon. I was going to use the 12 week plan that is from this site. While the plan incorporated weight training twice / week, it only seems to incorporate legs / back. I am a seasoned weight trainer and it's one of my favorite fitness components. I would have thought that a plan that includes shoulders, chest and abs in addition to legs and back would be preferable?
I would still like to incorporate some comprehensive weight training into my 12 week plan. Any suggestions or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated (I am a 33 year old female who currently does an hour of full body weight training three times / week ).
Also, any additional 12 week sprint training plans that you might direct me to would be appreciated.
