Subject: How should I train on consecutive days?
I have begun IronMan training for this coming September.

I run 20 miles or so every Saturday morning. I want to cycle 60 miles the next day more comfortably.

However, my legs are still sore the next morning - even after a couple of good meals, an evening recovery walk, and an early night's sleep.

What else should I be doing to enable my sore legs to recover faster within 24 hours?

Massage? Roller? More protein? Or will the conditioning come with time?

Run less on Saturday would be my suggestion.

Long run during the week (weds) and long ride weekend? (that was how the BT IM plan was structured)

but otherwise you probably nailed a lot of what you can do - the only other thing I would throw in might be Ice Bath.

If you are already doing 20 mile runs for a Sept IM you might want to back it down for awhile.   That is a long period of time.
