Does anybody who lives near the course know if the flooding is too bad so that they might have to cancel the race or is it certain that the race is still on?

The race is on for sure but check the website... there have been major course route changes.

New swim/bike venue/course. Lake Mackenzie swim bike is 22x to Bragg, 22 north back Hwy 8 and run is the same 86k bike.
