The debate that they are changing laws over came after a highly publisiced case where a woman Savita Halappanavar died of from sepsis after being denied a termination despite all doctors saying there was no chance the baby would live-but they couldn't terminate legally since it still had a heartbeat.  Having lived in Ireland for a few years I've been following some of the developments.

If a Jesuit School (BC) is hosting anyone supporting Abortion, I'd be disappointed.  The Society of Jesus is pretty much the most consistent organization on Pro-Life issues that you can find.

So the Archbishop of the Boston diocese is choosing not to attend the graduation ceremony of a private, Catholic, college because the speaker views are contrary to the Church.   I think anybody who has a problem with that is just looking for something to get worked up over.
