Subject: Runner turned Tri (I hope) I'm a pretty solo trainer, love my long runs. Completed 3 marathons, a few half marathons, and a handful of 10Ks and 5Ks since 2010 when I turned 30. I said in my youth I would never run - so that happened. Then I said I would never do Tri - and here we are. Never say never!
Bought my first bike since I was 12 about three years ago. Got in the pool around the same time and thought I would never get the hang of breathing but now I finally have both sides down. I have two kids, 1 and 4, and right before I was pregnant with my 2nd I finally realized I wanted to do a triathlon. Unfortunately morning sickness killed that dream and I lost all interest in physical activity (surprising after running until week 40 with my first ). So I took a hiatus until about 6 months post partum when I joined a gym with child care. That got addictive fast!...so here I am, 16 months after baby #2, and I'm signed up for my first triathlon (Olympic distance ) Aug 19! |
