Always thought had he not reneged on the "read my lips, no new taxes pledge" he'd of won a second term but I think he did what he thought was best for the country even though it was bad for his political career and I respect that.

I think with 20/20 hindsight his worst decision was not pressing on into Baghdad during the first gulf war. We had legitimate justification to over throw SH and the whole world was with us. Then again, things might not have end up any different than they turned out after the 2nd gulf war. I guess it is a mistake to assume every culture would embrace freedom and democracy.

OK, so I'm not the only one who remembers history. I remember he took heat from both sides of the isle over this. Conservatives felt betrayed and liberals were pointing at him for going back on his word.
