Subject: Training Troubles
Triathloning seems to be the ultimate sport, which is why I am drawn to it. I am planning to do a triathlon at the end of July, and its now almost the end of January. This leaves me 6-7 months to train. I am confident that I can do it, but have no training program. I've looked online for programs, but you either have to pay for them or they are vague. If anyone knows where to find a good schedule, please let me know. Any book, website, or other media reference would help. Thanks in advance.

Go right to the home page for this site. http://www.beginnertriathlets.com Left navigation bar you will find training programs. "Couch to Sprint" if you're really just starting or the Sprint if you are somewhat in shape. I also like John Mora's "Triathlon 101."

There are some good programs here on Beginner Triathlete and the books suggested are great books. Find a program that you like and start your training. As you train you will start to find your way and things will become clearer.
