Subject: Any Tri's Nearby?
I live in Knoxville, TN and am training for a very short sprint coming up in April (400m, 6m, 3m). I've never run a tri before. I just started working out on January 2nd of this year. After reading some of the postings on this site (and sucking some serious wind trying to get into race shape), I'm thinking that less than 4 months is not enough time to train.

Does anyone know of any similar-distance races within a few hours of Knoxville, that are a little later? I could make a trip to Nashville, Atlanta, Lexington or anywhere else that's pretty close to that range. The next triathlon that is being held in Knoxville is much longer than the first one. Although it's in July, I certainly don't think I'll be ready for that one either. So, does anyone know of a short tri I could start on?

Thanks,
Rick

Here's a good place to start looking:

You could also tri here:

and maybe give this a tri:

hope this helps.

Hey, there.

www.active.com is a great resource as well. That's where I've found all the ones I've signed up for this year.

Thanks for the info. I found a backup race (in the event I need it).

Thanks again,
Rick
