Good morning All!

I'm Ben, a returning (sprint/Olympic distance) triathlete. It's been ten long years since I last stood on the starting line, and in meanwhile, developed an unfortunate love for food and wine. So, my diminished physique in tow, I plan on working my way back into the sport, and re-ignite my competitive spirit.

Flowery verbiage notwithstanding, I definitely look forward to becoming an active member of this community, and hopefully can contribute as much as I learn from you all.

If you are in the Northern Virginia area (specifically the Sterling/Dulles/Reston area) let me know, maybe we can meet up during the Spring for weekend runs or training.

Cheers!

There are a ton of us in the NoVA area Esp. in the Reston/Sterling area. I'm in Falls Church and I'm also probably considerably younger than you, but there are a lot of us regardless  There are a few tri-clubs in the area too. Welcome!

Great to hear

I just turned 30, so we may not be that far apart in age! I competed in tri's through high school and early college. Then for some reason, women, sleep and parties were far more important than going for my daily run/swim/bike. Go figure.

If you know of any local clubs that are more in line with a beginner (I really should build up my base again, and starting from scratch is the best way), please forward those on.

Thanks!

-Ben

Ah, okay, so you're around the same age as those of us who train together. I'm 27 and there's a decent group of 30-somethings who train together. I don't know much about the tri groups around here and what they're geared toward, but just hit up google - there's one in Reston, TriRats, I think it's called.
