New PC Triathlete..here first tri sunday 7/13

Regular  95  North Haven |  Subject: New PC Triathlete..here first tri sunday 7/13Hello everyone I am scotty I am retired form the Navy and did many triathlons while in the service. I however was paralyzed on active duty and I am just now getting back into it. THings are a little different, I have 14 inch rods in my back and am paralyzed from the chest down. Needles to say I have no core and have to swim side stroke. I have been bikeing for a couple years in my hand cycle and now got a new racing chair to compete with. Just to give you an idea Im around 18 mph on the bick ave and 5:30 mile in the push/racing chair for the run. hopefully sunday I can have my times around 1hr 30 min I just know that my transition will take a bit of time..... scotty PC (physically challenged) Triathlete. |
