OK, I've tried the Marathon Girl Ultra and while I love it, the little spankies underneath give me a wedgie. I'm looking at the GymGirl Ultra because it has compression shorts under it (with an ipod pocket!) but would like to hear other's impressions of it before I drop the $51.20(reg 64) to buy them.

They are having a sale right now....

Suzanne,

The description is a little vague on the details of the "shorties".  I got this skirt, the GymGirlGripper, and it has a little line of grippy rubber around the inside.  Its not as much as typical bike shorts, but enough to keep the short legs from ridding up.  This skirt is now totally perfect for me.  (I also have a GymGirl Classic with the regular shorts, but they ride up on me and I can only stand them for short runs). I wish they made more of these in different colors!

Good luck! and thanks for the sale heads up, I'm thinking about trying the race belt skirt.

I'm a big fan! I have a Gym Girl skirt and love it! The shorties are great and fit pretty true to size. Like it says on the website, you have to sweat in order for the shorties to stay in place. Although, I've never really had a problem with them riding up too much. They have a great return/exchange policy...so if they don't work, that's always an option.

I have a race belt skirt and love it because it doesn't have anything lining it.  I hate liners unless they are just like underwear (like in running shorts) because I have terrible problems with the riding up issue.  Only problem with the race belt skirt is that if you are not careful, your race number tears off as you pull the skirt over your hips.  I have torn it off both times I have raced in it now.  I think I will just put a race belt on next time (over skirt) because I can buckle it on rather than stretch it over my hips.
