I am registered for the Austin 70.3 on October 4th. I did Kansas 70.3 earlier this spring after training for an Olympic.

I have scheduled a trip to go to NY Boston and back to NY to watch baseball games since this is the last year of Yankee's and Met's Stadiums. And while im up there i might as well go to a Red Sox Game.

We Leave Friday September 12 and will come back on Monday September 16th. this will be
20 days from the race when i get back. my scheduled work out looks like this....

Friday
Swim 2400-2500
Run 1:00-1:05

Saturday
Bike 3:30-3:45

Sunday
Swim 2800-3000
Run 1:50-2:00

Monday
Bike 1:20-1:25

Im probably not going to have a pool to do laps in , the only thing i can think of is treading water just to keep shoulders strong, and some kick exercises against the wall. and i will not have a bike.... i will be able to run though... so should i just run every day? or take it easy and enjoy my time? That weekend is the highest amount of training that my schedule calls for.

If you have some stretch chords bring those to get some arm work in rather than treading water.

Perfect timing. This article on XTRI was release just a little while ago. It's got excellent advice on training while travelling.

Four days of not swimming should will not have any effect on your swim in the race.

BTW Austin 70.3 is on Sunday, October 5 not October 4 Laughing
