Subject: RE: 10 Song CD Cory,
Great question ;- )
Music totally motivates me when I am working out. It really does make all the difference. On my MP3 player, all of the upbeat songs are on the second half of the song list to make the second half of my run all that much easier. It is unfortunate that you can't listen to your favorite msuic during triathlons...
Anyway, it is tough, but I will try to make a list of songs I would put on the CD if I were to make it tonight (NOTE: for me, this could change daily! )
1. Take On Me (the MXPX version )
Full of energy-puts a spring in your step. My friend Jason and I sing this while we run!
2. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper )
3. Heaven (Isn't Too Far Away ) (Warrant )
4. All on Black (Alkaline Trio )
5. Sell My Old Clothes, I'm Off to Heaven (Saves the Day )
6. Flood (Jars of Clay )
On my high school cross country video.
7. Hair of the Dog (Nazareth )
Our theme song in high school for cross country. We listened to it on the bus before every meet-just as we pulled up to the course.
8. Philosophy (Ben Folds Five )
9. No Sensitivity (Jimmy Eat World )
This is a slow song...but if you put it on while watching people race, I swear your heart will skip a beat during the guitar solo! I listened to it before many a track race in college.
10. Hey Ya (Outkast )
This would make me laugh and think of going out to clubs with my friends and would make me less nervous.
Keep the Rock Coming....
