Subject: Visiting Outer Banks at Easter -- pools, gyms, races?

I'll be there from April 10th through the 18th. Is there a tri club in the area that trains and welcomes visitors? Or any masters swim groups? Or a YMCA with a great pool? Any races of any kind -- 5k, 10k, tri, etc?

I'm going to be in a house with in-laws, so any event will do.

There is a Y here - it has a 25 meter indoor pool. They sell weekly passes for visitors. The MAsters swim is on TUE/THUR at 0530 am at the Y. The Tri club does some group stuff as well.

I do not see any local events during that week. There are a couple of TRI's and a half Mary but not local (greensboro and Charlotte)

Thanks for the tips. I'll be at Duck and will have my car, so driving anywhere won't be a problem.
