I'm sure this is a matter of prefernce, but I just entered my swim workout and I really wanted to know my pace. So I put that I did 1000 in 17:30. Gave me my pace, and that's great and cool! But do I, or should I, also enter the other few other 100s I swam in the distance and total time? Some were workout stuff, some were warm up? Part of me wants to log the total amount of laps that I've swam, but then I get a really slow pace since there was times in the pool where I wasn't doing anything. Guess I'm just wondering what everyone else does. Thanks!

p.s. Or do I just add another swim workout for my non-1000?

As long as you know what you're doing, it doesn't really matter how you choose to log it. Most of us just go ahead and log the total workout and time; we know (as it seems like you are starting to) what we generally do per 100yd or m. Maybe keep logging the warmup and drills (other stuff?) separately until you start getting a good idea of what your pacing is, and then you can just log the whole shebang.

Or you could just wear a waterproof watch and get a feel for your pacing in the water that way.

i log everything, if i am excercising, it goes in the log. I usually don't separate them anymore either, since i now have a pretty good idea as to what my race pace is, i just include it in the total workout, and not worry about workout pace. someyimes i just don't even hit the calculate button, just leave total time and distance.  It all comes down to how you want to do it.
