city track meet

We had our city final track meet last night and I am excited to share results
with anyone who will listen.

I am the asst Girls coach at Centennial.  They more than doubled their score from last year.  They finished a strong second out of 12 (first was a long way out of reach - before the meet it was between us and 2 others schools for second)

We set the city record in the mile 5:20.24 - She also won the 2 mile
We also had a sophmore take 6th in the mile for a point and a junior take 3rd in the 2.

New kids on the team took a lot of points
A freshman won the quarter with 1:01.10
A soph jumped 15' 4 3/4"for second

relays were made up of very young kids
4x4 and 4x8 were second and 4x1 and 4x2 were 3rd.

The girls also had several other events they just missed scoring.


The boys team only scored in one event.  Our miler went a PR 4:47.38 for 4th place.  That gave them 12th of 13 teams.
