Thanks for the great site. My wife and I are roughly 4 weeks away from our first sprint Tri. Speaking for myself, I am scared senseless about my first race. I want to finish, no die, and hopefully not look like a complete idiot doing the first two. Any way, thanks again for the wealth of information and encouragement on your site.
I just signed up for my first tri too, and I have 2 goals: 1) to finish and 2) not to be dead last. Of course, I am hoping to not look like a complete idiot as well. Good luck to you!

No need to be scared...nervous is okay though. As long as you are training properly, you will finish and chances are you will NOT be dead last. If you are, who cares? At least you finished!! Good luck and enjoy the journey!!
Welcome! Enjoy your first tri - enjoy the water during the swim, thank the volunteer staff as you go by, notice all the folks cheering you on. You can only have one first triathlon. Enjoy it.
