Comments: I went out a bit fast, but I was able to pull it together and keep it going. I tried to kick it out at the end, but the wind picked up right into my face. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Standing around and waiting for the rest of my team to finish. quick strech and then home for a shower. What limited your ability to perform faster: weather. Event comments: The best part of this race is that my team raised over $700 so far for Race for the Cure. A great total and something to be proud of. We are still taking donations, so if anyone whould like to donate you can click on the link below. https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=97901&li... Night before: Swim 1600 yrds. Then hit the bar, drink a beer, inhale smoke for 3 hours and don't go to be until 1 am. I did keep the water flowing though.
Day of: Wake-up around 9 am, drink coffee and eat cereal. Drink water. Got to the race about 45 min before the gun.
Normally I like more time but it was snowing sideways and blowing around 25-30 MPH. Stretched and warmed-up inside. The warm-up run was pretty much non-existent.
